I’m experimenting getting back into blogging, mainly for Tabletop Roleplaying Game content, but for anything I suppose. The limitations of social media aren’t cutting it for sharing my ideas, not that I expect my ideas to go far anyway. Just somewhere online where I can keep them grouped together in one place.
Plus I came up with this “clever” blog name and it’d be such a shame to waste it. :p
I used to have a blogspot nearly a decade ago [Jerreth Esq.], and just revisiting it recently gave me the cringe. It started off as a TTRPG blog but turned into a LARP blog. I don’t really LARP anymore but I didn’t want to reboot it so I made this one instead. I did export the content from that blog on to this one before I shut it down for archivial sake.
I am going to dedicate some time to dig through it to see through it to see if there’s any decent ore to be found amidst the dross.
But other than that, what else have I been up to you may ask?
Well, I’ve been working on compiling an adventure location for my current ongoing Dungeon Crawl Classics game. So far I’ve laid out most of the rooms using Dungeon Scrawl, and have keyed and written the majority their contents, along with all the other corpus required for a real adventure, like Background, Adventure Hooks, Statblocks, etc.

As this adventure is being developed as it is being played, it’s been evolving and is likely to go through several more iterations and ‘eurekas’ before it reaches its conclusion.
This is also my first real attempt at writing a ‘professional’ adventure that isn’t just a bunch of loosely connected notes with a hastily drawn map.
I still have much to learn and practice.
My end goal, if I can have one, is to actually have this polished enough to share online. But until then it’s been serving its purpose well as a fun adventure locale for my players.
